Description

The House of Usher is a mystical manor in the middle of a forest located in rural Massachusetts, near Boston. The forest is rickety and has a scary atmosphere, and the manor has giant windows facing the nearby lakes. The interior is inspired by Gothic architecture, and contains dark antique furniture. The house can best be described as a "rustic" abode.

History

The house was constructed in 1709 by the Usher family, known to be deeply fascinated by the occult and magic. After four generations, all that remains of the ancient Ushers are the twins Roderick and Madeline Usher, who have kept the house as it was nearly thirty years ago, when their father mysteriously disappered.

Horrible. The co-host Madeline was ghostlike, and I only saw her once. Although Roderick was my childhood friend, the house seemed decrepid and on the brink of collapse. 0/10.

Safety & property

Families with children should be advised as it is easy to get lost in the woods and the manor. There are spots where the nearby lake could pose a drowning hazard and it is recommended to not swim in it. One more thing to note is that the structural integrity of the building is poor.
